A regular semi-trailer includes a body, axles, and suspension system. The axle and suspension system are located at the bottom of the vehicle body, with the axle in a barbell shape and wheels at both ends. The wheels are horizontally arranged at the bottom of the vehicle body, and the suspension system is located between the vehicle body and the axle, connecting the axle and the vehicle body. When the vehicle body is dragged by external forces, the suspension system carries the wheels at both ends of the power bridge.
Semi trailer steel plate spring suspension (referred to as steel plate spring suspension) is divided into few variable cross-section steel plate suspension and equal cross-section multi steel plate spring suspension. At present, more than 95% of heavy truck suspension systems in China are non independent suspensions using steel plate springs as elastic elements and guiding devices.
